The PC-Axis family consists of a number of programs for the Windows and Internet environment used to present statistical information. It is mostly used by the Statistical offices in different countries to let their users retrieve statistics.

Programs in the PC-Axis family

PC-Axis
PC-Axis comes in two different versions. One is delivered on CD-Rom or can be downloaded on the Internet. This version works with PC-Axis files. Another version includes a connection to a relational SQL database. This SQL database must have metadata in accordance with the SCB metadata model. The modules of the PC-Axis program are continually updated and you can get information and download the programs

PX-Map
PX-Map is a Windows program which allows you to view statistics on maps. It was created in Norway and you can find more information and download it including description of the program.

PX-Make
PX-Make helps you to create PC-Axis files, by entering metadata and adding data from for instance an excel file. It was created in Denmark and it can be downloaded here where you also find more information.

PX-Edit
PX-Edit is a tool for editing, manipulating and generating PC-Axis files, aimed to provide the maintainers of PC-Axis and PX-Web-based services with a fast easy-to-use expert tool. It was created in Finland and it can be downloaded from their web site where you also find more information.

PX-Web
PX-Web is a solution for the web. It works with PC-Axis files. PX-Web can also be a part of a solution with connection to SQL databases. Information about updates in PX-Web is available as well as download of the program
