Do you have MacOS X version? Is there some soft equivalent for this plattform? | There is no software for Mac for PC-Axis files. Users who connect to PX-Web can select to download files in other formats for use on their Mac. |

What kind of hosting do we need? Do we need to invest in our own dedicated windows 2003 server? Or can we just use any generic windows 2003 host? | Any Windows version (2000, 2003, XP) with IIS will do. |

I'm using PC Axis and have come across a problem when I'm trying to export files to Excel. Once I have filled more than two variables into the heading I can't export the table to Excel. E.g. I have reconfigured a table so that the variables "area", "age group" and "year" are in the heading, but Excel will not accept the table unless I remove one of the variables from the heading (and put it into the stub). | When converting to Excel there is a limit of 256 columns. If you put many variables in the heading it might result in a greater number of columns. When putting more variables in stub the problem is solved. |

Is there any api, library ... to import AXIS file format (or database) ? We want to import the Axis file values to an Oracle database, and we'are thinking on a Java import module ? Is there any module for this purpose, system ? Thanks | The easiest way to import data from PC-Axis files to Oracle is probably by saving the file as a tab delimited file with all variables in the stub and use whatever tools are available in Oracle.
(PC-Axis Sql can save sql tables) |
