PC-Axis 2008

More about PC-Axis 2008 is found on the news page. Download can be made from the download page. This version contains some new functionality for which only English texts exist for most languages. You find the new texts and new messages marked so you can make the translation to be included in the installation package. This installation has as default rounding rule=1 (as Excel). If someone needs an installation with rounding rule=0 (as PC-axis has had through the years) please send an e-mail.

PC-Axis SQL installation.

This installation program on the download page also contains exe, dll and text files for use with the SQL database metamodel 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2. The text files for the SQL interface are only in English and Swedish. For metamodel 2.0 the file pcasqlen.txt contains both the user interface in English and the names of SQL tables and columns, etc. Only the user interface is to be translated. For metamodel 2.1 and 2.2 the names of the SQL tables and coumns, etc are in the files pcasqldb21.txt and pcasqldb22.txt respectively. The user interface textes are still in pcasqlen.txt and need to be copied and translated to the new language file. More about these files on on the technical page

PX-Web 2008

Description for PX-Web 2008 is found on the news page. Download can be made from the download page. There are new texts in the LanguageEn.asp file. These new texts have also been copied to the other language files in English so please make a translation and send to me.

A further option has been added in the SelectDb.asp. You can select to have the PC-Axis file as the last level in the tree structure. options in SelectDb.

As soon as I receive new text files they will be replace in the installation package. This installation has as default rounding rule=1 (as Excel). There has been a slight change in the XML format produced by PC-Axis. Please read more about the CoSSI format here. Use the download page to get the latest version.

Changes for DATANOTECELL, Dec 2006

When we introduced the new keyword DATANOTECELL as part of the NPM package it was decided that it should be written the same way as CELLNOTE
DATANOTECELL("value","value","value")="*";

However it has proven to be extra difficult to produce this from the SQL database and we have therefore changed it to the following rule:

If a variable has both Values and Codes, then Codes will be used. If a variable has only Values then Values will be used. This means that a keyword can have a mix from values and codes. DATANOTECELL("code","code","value")="*",

Since nobody has taken this keyword into production as yet we hope it will not be a problem. The versions PC-Axis 2006 for CD and the PC-Axis 2006 without NPM have been updated on the donwload page.

PX-Web 2005

New in PX-Web 2005:

• new options for datasymbols
• datanotecells
• multilingual PC-Axis files
• conversions to XML option XDF and KEYS.
• new option for showing footnotes and info with table, incl css example for this
• new class on the sort page for appearance using css
• up to three xls output formats
• change for automatic pivot to keep all other variables in original order

PC-AXIS 2005 CD

Download PC-Axis 2005 installation. (2007-02-05). This version includes "Save as XML" for format XDF and KEYS.

PC-AXIS 2005 SQL

The same changes as for the CD version. Also include the changes described for 2004.

To make the version with SQL, start by installing the CD version and then

1. Replace the file pcaxis.exe with the version including sql interface. (2006-12-13)

2. Add the file pxbatch.exe for batch user interface. (2006-03-07)

For ODBC

3. Add pxsql2005.dll and pxsqlbatch2005.exe (2006-03-17)

4. Add pcasqlen.txt for English metabase or Swedish metabase and other language files if needed. (2005-12-09)

For Sybase

3. Add pxsql2005.dll and pxsqlbatch2005.exe (2005-12-09)
